We want to reassure families that there is no threat to our students or staff. These drills are required by state law (HB 147). We perform these checks periodically to practice safety procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Lyons Main Street is excited to invite K–12 students to participate in the 2026 Pig Tales: This Little Piggy Wrote a Story Writing Competition - held in conjunction with The Real Squeal BBQ & Music Festival.
Contest Rules
● The PIG TALES Writing Competition is open to all students in grades
K-12 attending any public, private or home school in surrounding
Counties .
● Students are limited to one entry.
● Entries may be written for the purpose of this competition, or as part
of a school assignment.
● Entries must be written in English.
● Entries may be typed or handwritten, provided they are printed and
