Senior Picture Information: Class of 2026

NOW is the time to start thinking about senior pictures, senior ads, and yearbooks. Remember, you have options for how you have your senior pictures taken but it is your responsibility to get it done! Don’t miss out, get your pictures taken! You have two options for senior pictures:

Option one, School Photographer: Pix Photography in Vidalia is our school photographer. If you would like to have your pictures taken with Pix in their studio you can call them and schedule an appointment this summer. Scheduling with the studio will allow you more time with the photographer and more background options. You will also have more time to get your pictures turned in. If you do not want to take pictures in the studio, Pix will take pictures AT SCHOOL on Thursday, October 2nd. However, your options and your time with the photographer may be limited as we will have many students having pictures made that day. Pix photography: 912-538-0170

Option two, Any Local Photographer: This is any photographer other than the school photographer. (Hart’s, Davis House, a friend, etc.) If you choose to have your senior pictures taken with a photographer other than our school photographer, you MUST have your pictures turned in by Friday, September 19th, 2025. It is your responsibility to make sure they are submitted on time to Mrs. Brodnax, so a formal picture and/or a casual picture can be used in the yearbook. Pix and the Davis house are the only two local photographers that take both formal and casual pictures. Please make sure that you make arrangements to have both types of pictures taken for the yearbook. These pictures should be turned in electronically. We cannot accept any pictures from local photographers after September 19th!

Senior ads will be due Friday, November 7th, 2025. More information about ads will be sent out when school starts back.

Important dates:
Senior pictures from outside photographers: Due Friday, September 19, 2025
Senior picture day at school: Thursday, October 2, 2025
Senior Ads for the yearbook: Due Friday, November 7, 2025.

Yearbooks will be on sale when school starts for $55. They can be purchased on-line, or at school through the end of January. www.jostensyearbooks.com

Class of 2026! It's time to claim your parking place for the year! Here's what you need to do...

Step 1: Buy a parking permit. Permits are $10.00; they can be purchased from Mrs. Brodnax when you pay to paint your spot. You can purchase your permit beginning Friday, August 1st. There is a form that needs to be filled out with a parent's signature. You will need your driver's license number and the information for your insurance policy. You MUST buy a permit before you can paint.

Step 2: Pay to paint. Your design must be approved, and there is an additional $10.00 fee to paint your spot. Show Mrs. Brodnax the design, pay the fee. Designs must be appropriate for school, nothing distasteful or inflammatory, please.

Step 3: Time to paint.... Once you have your permit and approval from Mrs. Brodnax, you are ready to paint. Due to the numerous activities during pre-planning and the need to use the parking lot, there are specific times when painting is permitted. You can paint from 8 AM to 8 PM on Monday, August 4th, and Tuesday, August 5th. These are the ONLY times when painting is allowed. If you are unable to paint during these times, please let Mrs. Brodnax know. If there is enough interest, we will do another painting day in October. If it rains, we will reschedule.

You pick your spot. They are first-come, first-served.

Pro tips: -
-It will take a whole gallon of paint to cover an entire spot. If you choose a spot that has been painted before it will take less paint.
-House paint and spray paint work best. "Craft" paint is okay, but it takes a large amount of paint to get good coverage and it won't last all year. -
-Painting takes time. Last year most students spent 3-4 hours painting and some designs took all day to paint. Depending on the design, you may need to spread out your painting time to allow the paint to dry.
-Stencils and tape can be very helpful!
-If you paint during the day, you may want to set up a tent to work under.

We are proud to celebrate our community partner, McLendon Enterprises, on being named the 2025 GA Work-Based Learning Program Business Partner of the Year! Great things happen when schools and industry come together to shape the future workforce. In 2021, Toombs County Schools and McLendon Enterprises launched Georgia’s first-ever Heavy Equipment Pathway—a groundbreaking partnership that continues to grow. Together, we’ve worked tirelessly to prepare students for success as productive members of our community. Special thanks to Mrs. Peggy Snow, TCHS Work-Based Learning Coordinator, for her leadership in connecting students with meaningful career opportunities. We also recognize Mr. Tom Brodnax, TCHS Heavy Equipment Instructor, for his commitment to student success in the HEP program. This is a Toombs County Schools transportation update. Due to the recent heavy rainfall, our bus drivers and transportation team are reaching out to families who may be affected by road conditions. We’re identifying alternate pick-up and drop-off locations where needed to ensure students can get to and from school safely. Toombs County Schools are also working closely with the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office to monitor road updates and provide additional support if necessary. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we prioritize student safety.
